Do they mean that we don't act ghetto? That's so silly what does that mean anyway. I want to be as colorful as you, but I am getting tired of having to be like neurotypical people. I quit that life as of 8/19/2024. I am so tired and worn out having to fit in today's society. People want me to look a certain way and I am done, I just want to be me.

I'm 54, and my son has Autism. I just went for psychological testing for Autism and ADHD through Vocational rehab for being deaf and hard of hearing. I tried to get a psychological evaluation. It's not easy as an adult to get an eval based on my experience, and it's expensive. Luckily because I already have a disability it was a lot easier to ask for the testing and they took care of the referral to see a licensed Psychologist. So now it has been 11 days from the testing, I have a feeling that I will pass both ADHD and Autism. So the question is, is Autism genetic. I'm hoping another organization can help me go for genetic testing to determine if my 21-year-old daughter has it as well. She has stated that she feels that she has Autism as well so 1 step at a time.
